Technowledge 2K26 HackDay challenges participants to design and develop innovative technology solutions that address real-world problems and improve everyday experiences.

Participants are encouraged to think creatively and build impactful projects across multiple domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Embedded Systems, Web & Mobile Applications, Sustainability, Smart Automation, and Open Innovation.

The goal of this challenge is to promote:

What to Build

Participants are encouraged to build innovative projects that solve real-world problems or introduce creative technological solutions. Projects may focus on any domain, including but not limited to:

Projects should demonstrate:

All projects must be primarily developed during the hackathon period.

Each team must submit a complete project through Devpost including the following:

βœ… Project Title & Description
Clearly explain the problem, solution, and features.

βœ… Source Code Repository
Provide a public GitHub link to your project code.

βœ… Demo Video
A short video (2–3 minutes recommended) demonstrating how your project works.

βœ… Screenshots or Prototype Images
Visual proof of your working solution.

βœ… Technologies Used
List all tools, frameworks, APIs, and hardware used.

βœ… Team Information
Include all team members in the submission.

Important Notes
  • Submissions must be original work.
  • Previously completed projects are not allowed.
  • Late submissions will not be evaluated.
  • Judges will evaluate based on innovation, functionality, and impact.

Judging Criteria

  • Criteria Title: Innovation & Creativity
    Evaluates how unique and original the idea is. Judges will assess creativity, novelty of the solution, and how differently the team approaches the problem compared to existing solutions.
  • Criteria Title: Technical Implementation
    Measures the technical complexity and quality of the project, including coding practices, system architecture, functionality, and effective use of tools, APIs, and technologies.
  • Criteria Title: Problem Solving & Impact
    Assesses how well the project solves a real-world problem and the potential impact of the solution on users, communities, or industries.
  • Criteria Title: Design & User Experience
    Evaluates the usability, interface design, and overall user experience. Projects should be intuitive, accessible, and visually well-structured.
  • Criteria Title: Presentation & Demo
    Judges will evaluate how clearly the team explains their idea, demonstrates the working prototype, and communicates the value of their project.
  • Criteria Title: Best Use of Google Gemini API
    Rewards projects that effectively integrate the Google Gemini API to enhance functionality through AI capabilities such as natural language understanding, content generation, reasoning, or intelligent automation.
